If your children is below the age of 16, you can apply to view his or her CPF statements online.
Unless there were specific technical challenges in the CPF system implementation, I feel that parents should be automatically granted the permission to view and manage their children’s CPF in the first place and not have to go through an additional application.
Nonetheless, the application process is relatively straightforward (but not so on CPF’s website where they make you go through an additional step):
- Download and complete the form
- Email the completed form and your children’s birth certificate(s) to [email protected]
That’s it. This is likely not super useful to most people, but if you’re thinking of taking a more proactive approach to your children’s financial planning, this is definitely a useful piece of information that will aid in your decisions.2021-02-27
