So how was the Singapore Family Business Conference 2007?

Pretty darn dull conference if you ask me. The moderator (some writer from Business Week or something) started by asking the panel a couple of questions and invited the audience to come forward to ask their questions.

When someone from the audience finally do ask a question, the panel of speakers replied cryptically as if they just watched the Da Vinci Code or something.

Like some guy was asking how do non-profit organisations can go about getting sponsorship from companies such as themselves, the panel went on to talk about how they love to help and contribute back to the society and the less fortunate.

So I decided, anyone who asks me about the conference, our dialogue will go something like this;

“So how did you find the conference?”

“My teriyaki chicken sandwich was very delicious!”

And Joyce Han (from SL Ponie Pte Ltd), I’m sure she’s a very capable and successful person however she’s an absolutely terrible speaker. With her around, dialogues can go like this;

“So how did you find the conference?”

“My teriyaki chicken sandwich was very delicious!”

“The tv drama on Channel 8 yesterday night very nice to watch!”

The only mildly interesting speaker among them all is Kenny Yap (from Qian Hu), the only saving grace of the entire conference me thinks.
