Baked Chicken Breast Recipe

1. Take Chicken breast out of freezer to defrost in the morning. Due to winter, it takes really long to defrost. You can expect it to be fully defrosted in the afternoon.
2. Marinate it with ard 3-8 drops of sesame oil (depending on how fragrent you want it to be), enough terriyaki / soy sauce to cover all of the cHicken, with a little extra(because italian herbs suck up the sauce, & evaporation.
3. sprinkle as much italian herbs as u want over the chicKen, & leave it to sit till you are ready to cook
4. wash the veggies, and cut them up (prob 5 – 10 mins)
5. turn on the oven, -Convection, – 200 degrees, -20 mins
6. leave it on for 5 mins for it to preheat
7. in the meantime, spread aluminium foil over the tray of the oven, making sure that it is larger than the tray, so that you can tuck in the sides & make it tight.
8. add a spoonful of olive oil onto the aluminium covered tray and spread it evenly for all the areas you expect to place food onto.
9. place the chiCken breast onto the area with olive oil (at the side) and place the veggies on the remaining area (with olive oil). sprinkle some italian herbs onto the veg (if you want it to smell nice)
10. Shove it in when you See 15 mins left on the timer
11. Go and do your tutorial / Shower, or do smth productive. Like, FB. until u See that there are 2 mins left.
12. Sprinkle cheese over it if desired. If not, take out the Chicken and cut it into half. If it doesn’t look pink anywhEre, u can eat it. If you think it feels too easy to cut, aka too soft, put it in longer.

Carbonara;

0. Cook the pasta in boiling water, a dallop of olive oil & a pinch of salt. When cooked, drain and set aside
1. heat olive oil in pan
2. throw in onions, ham + mushrooms – until onions turn slightly transparent and mushroom looks cooked. Don’t care abt ham, cos it is already cooked anyways.
3. Pour in 1/4 cup of white wine – don’t have nv mind.
4. Pour in the 200-300 ml cream+egg

DO NOT LET IT BOIL. or the cream will coagulate and become disgusting

5. throw in the pasta (already cooked) and use tongs. YES, TONGS. cos easy to control, to mix it evenly.
6. lower heat & put cheese.
7. turn off heat, put on plate, eat & get fat.

Steamed Moist Chocolate Cake Recipe

Ingredients:

185g butter
180g fine sugar
200ml evaporated milk
2 eggs, lightly beaten
125g all-purpose flour
70g cocoa powder
1/2 tsp baking powder
1/2 tsp baking soda
1/2 tsp vanilla essence

Method:

1. Combine sugar, evaporated milk, vanilla essence and butter in a saucepan.
Stir over low heat until sugar is dissolved and butter has melted. Remove from heat.
2. Add the beaten eggs into the slightly cooled mixture and stir till well mixed.
3. Sift the flour, cocoa powder, baking powder and baking soda into a large mixing bowl. Add the eggs mixture over the flour and stir till well mixed. (Batter should be runny).
4. Heat up the steamer.
5. Lined and grease a 9-inch baking pan
6. Pour the batter into prepared pan and place into the steamer. Cover the top of the pan loosely with a piece of aluminum foil.
7. Steam over medium heat for 45 minutes. Check for doneness by inserting a skewer into the cake. If it comes out clean, it’s done. If not, steam for a further 5 minutes.
8. Cool the cake in pan before turning out for further decoration.

Well I know it doesn’t look fantastic but being the very first cake I baked with YY, it tastes exactly like the ones they serve at Secret Recipe, if not better!

I was down at my place’s canteen the other day and saw this guy buying a can of Red Bull and a can of 100 Plus, asking the uncle for a cup and then pouring both drinks simultaneously into it.

I’m not exactly a huge fish & chips fan but after every rare occasion I dine at Fish & Co’s, I look forward to their after-meal freebie, one Endearmint candy.

Through my extensive research along with my persistent determination, I found out that you can actually buy the candy from Fish & Co themselves. Available at $15.70 for a 1kg pack (containing 211 pieces) which works out to be about $0.07 each. Sweet! :D

It’s almost impossible not to see the Naughty G’s advertisements if you take the any form of public transport in Singapore. The drink promises to ehance energy, stamina and performance for both man and woman, coming in 4 different flavours: Original, Cola, Green Tea and Sugar Free.

Well, I’m not exactly a huge fan of Red Bull so I don’t intend to try Naught G anytime soon but just thinking out loud here; Anyone bought a can of Naughty G? What are your thoughts? Does the product deliver as promised? :o
