The Secret Diary of Adrian Mole Aged 13.75

The Secret Diary of Adrian Mole

Saturday March 20th

My mother has had all her hair cut off. She looks like one of Auntie Susan’s inmates. She doesn’t look a bit maternal any more. I don’t know whether to get her anything for Mother’s Day or not. She was going on about it last night, saying it was a commercial racket fed by gullible fools.

Brilliant. 1 down, 6 more to go. :D

60 items limit? LAWL! I guess that’s probably for those scheming 2nd-hand bookshop owners (not that I have anything against 2nd-hand bookshop owners).

Expect it to be pretty awesome! See you guys there! :D

Addendum: Just curious, any chance one can find the Bible at the sale or does the library strictly not stock up on religious literature?

YARLY. No wonder he never got together with Professor McGonagall…

If only ‘Tuesdays with Morrie’ worked…

I recently finished reading ‘Tuesdays with Morrie’ and it’s a superb book, no doubts about that. There was this particular quote that really inspired me;

“Do you know what I do? When someone wants to get ahead of me in traffic – when I used to be able to drive – I would raise my hand, as if I was going to make a negative gesture, and then I would wave and smile. Instead of giving them the finger, you let them go, and smile. You know what? Alot of times they smiled back.”

I tried that and everyone thought I was crazy. Grrr…
