Slumdog star Azharuddin had just flown back from the LA Oscars where Slumdog Millionaire bagged 8 awards and was then given a day off from school to rest but his father, Mohammed Ismail who probably only sees Azharuddin as his ticket out of poverty wanted to show him off outside their home.

When Azharuddin refused to do as his mercenary dad said, he started abusing him.

Seeing the movie do so well at the Oscars, you would somehow expect the poor boy to get a better life from this point on. Blah.

Just got home at close to 1am after work. My reason for staying late is to help my colleague (same team and same position as me), and provide moral support. We were the only ones left in the office at that time.

Will you stay late to help your team member? Even if you can’t help much workwise, but stay just to provide moral support?

I am quite exhausted from work. Continuous OT-ing beyond 9pm everyday at work, have sprouted some bright red volcanoes on my face.

Lazy movie reviewer day

I was half expecting it to be somewhat like Bedtime Stories or the like but to be absolutely honest, I totally enjoyed it!

(And yes, that’s Doctor Octopus in a tutu!)

If it’s any indication, I really wanna catch the first Pink Panther movie. Totally.

So what the eff is the TURBO key for?

On other keyboard related news, reading these reviews kinda makes me wish I did some research online before making the purchase.

My particular keyboard has keys that randomly don’t work. Currently, the “g”, “h” and space bar keys don’t work (they worked fine yesterday), and in the past Escape has stopped working for a while. Since it’s so inexpensive, it’s probably not worth the money to send it back, but I will certainly be finding another keyboard.

Turns out that it used to be used on older computers which had cpus with variable clock speeds and the user could simply tap the turbo key to switch between faster and slower clock speeds on the fly. Nowadays the cpus are not keyboard controllable and the turbo key is rendered rather useless.
The best thing for it is to use some kind of keyboard scripter or remapper to assign it specialized functions to make your life easier.
